Background: Rinslet is a master thief, who is rarely ever caught, even more rarely by any fault of her own. The only reason she hasn’t been arrested is because the world’s governments actually hire her to steal things…and she’d be incredibly difficult to catch. She is skilled with a whip and gun, and has grown to respect Train, though he can piss her off at times. They first met when Rinslet had heard of Train’s prowess in fighting and she decided she needed his help.

Why does Rinslet find men inferior? That’s quite the story. When she was a child, she lived in a small town. It was beautiful, and it thrived because of a local research facility that was developing nanotechnology for medical purposes, like to cure cancer and such. Rinslet was quite happy in her town, and had a friend, a very close friend, by the name of Jason Williams. Jason and Rinslet were best friends, and everyone in the town, young and old, teased that they’d end up married. Both would blush and profusely deny it, but Rinslet’s closest friends knew that this was her secret wish.

However, one day, the research facility was attacked. Data was stolen, and then the facility was destroyed in a massive explosion that was later linked to Torneo Rudman. The town was also virtually destroyed, leaving very few survivors. Those who survived considered it a fate worse than death to have seen their beautiful hometown, which was full of trees and flowers, reduced to ash, and most of their loved ones killed. Rinslet was among these who deemed themselves so unlucky to live, and she was not exempt from a loss of loved ones. Not only did she lose her parents, but Jason died as well. She had been playing at one of her friends’ houses when it happened. She first went to her parents, but they had already died in a fire that had hit their small house. Not wasting any time, she sought Jason. He had been playing outside when it happened. When Rinslet found him, he was still alive, but they both knew he wouldn’t live. And so, at age 11, Rinslet held the one she loved as he died. Rinslet blames the greed of men for attacking the facility, as well as Jason’s weakness and inability to survive. She knows the latter is unfair and even absurd, but she still holds it to her heart. Maybe that heart-shaped necklace has some relation?

This brings us to another question; why did Rinslet opt to become a thief-for-hire? After the loss of her parents and Jason, Rinslet Walker was completely disgusted with the model of society that she lived in. Those who had money had power, and could do basically whatever they chose and get away with it. They could pay off the police to leave them alone, and they’d be fine. Those without money, however, were screwed. Rinslet didn’t have money, but wanted to screw those that screwed her. She originally intended to be a sweeper and thus learned skills with a gun, but realized that the life of a stray cat wouldn’t cut it; she’d never be able to apprehend the big crime bosses that she hated.If they weren’t brought to justice, how could she screw them over without being arrested herself? Why, steal their fortunes, of course! The trick was to not get caught. And thus, Rinslet began study of typical anti-theft methods and how to get past them. If there was one that seemed difficult to evade, she’d buy one, set it up, and practice breaking through it. When she’d trained legally enough, she broke into some relatively light-protected companies and such, only stealing from ones that she deemed sleazy. Eventually, she became a self-taught master thief, and she found herself stealing for her own personal gain, and even helping some of the society she deemed corrupt. However, she decided that she can’t go completely alone in the world, and she’d only help out the lesser evils and rob the worse ones. And so Rinslet maintained a code of morals, even as a master thief.

She had been given the job of breaking into the research facility of Torneo Rudman, a weapons dealer, and stealing the data on his research. She knew that Torneo had skilled guards and if she slipped up one bit, she’d be dead. For that reason, she convinced, or rather, tricked Train into helping her. (As a sweeper, Train is frequently poor. Rinslet offers to take him to dinner. Over dinner they discuss what she wants. Rinslet basically says that, if he doesn’t help her, she won’t pay for his food.). Also, to test Train’s abilities, she pretended to be a blonde girl that was being chased by men that wanted to hurt her. These men were in reality being paid by Rinslet to chase her; she wanted to see how capable Train was at fighting. When she got what she wanted, she opted to burn down the research facility, as she deemed it evil and didn’t want anyone to have anything to do with it. What was rescued from all of that was Eve, who Rinslet takes a strong liking to.

Rinslet never stays in one place very long. After all of that, she went off to do more thief-for-hire work, and was unknowingly summoned by Creed, Train’s mortal enemy. Creed used Rinslet as bait for Train, who managed to save Rinslet. They both escaped.

Speaking of being bait, she was also trapped by Sephiria Arks with the help of Jenos Hazard to be used as bait to lure out Creed. This also nearly resulted in Rinslet’s death, but again, Train saved her life.
